Executive/Life Coaching – Life Design Program (Find Your Ikigai)

Here we revisit the concept of ikigai and the intersection of the four core questions:

What do you love? What are you good at? What does the world need? What can you be paid for? In these sessions, we will help you envision your dreams and nurture the strength required to achieve them. We will free you from the limiting beliefs that have been holding you back. We will help you recognize your potential and build a realistic plan to achieve it.

Like many of the Flow’s addiction recovery programs, this is rooted in the principles of positive psychology. We focus on what is right with you rather than what is wrong. We tap into your assets and help you flourish. This is another pillar of our program that truly sets us apart from other sober homes.

The Flow Recovery Retreat’s life design coach:
  • Encourages self-discovery and personal growth
  • Helps you create a vision for what you want to achieve
  • Pinpoints the strengths, strategies and steps that will help you get there
  • Utilizes expertise and motivational techniques to support you along the way
  • Provides accountability

A DIET THERAPY FOR ADDICTION RECOVERY

Nutrition Coaching

Healthy eating habits are crucial to people recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. Achieving nutritional balance, and developing healthy eating habits help to eradicate the harm that addiction does to the body. Eating right doesn’t have to be spartan.

For an additional fee ($100 USD per session) you will work with Sarah Savidge ( click here to see Sarah Savidge’s bio) Sarah will make your nutritional journey at the Flow Recovery Retreat fun, empowering, rewarding and above all sustainable. It will become a lifestyle that helps to drive your physical and mental wellbeing. You will leave Flow Recovery Retreat with the intrinsic motivation and the skills and knowledge to maintain this new lifestyle.

01. IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION IN RECOVERY

Early recovery is a critical opportunity to supply your mind and body with the right nutrients to rebuild. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s natural capacity to build new neural connections. With the right nutrition we can optimize that process.

02. DEVELOPING A NUTRITION AND DIET PLAN

Even if we have the intention to eat right, we might not have the sustained motivation or the expertise to translate that into action. Temptation is rife, and the world of nutrition can seem complex and overwhelming.

03. NUTRITIONAL COACHING FOR ADDICTION RECOVERY

We can empathetically coach you to explore issues that may have caused emotional eating. We understand this is not always an easy path. Much like our substance of choice, many people find they have issues with food that go beyond nutrition.

More About Ashtanga Yoga
The word Ashtanga is comprised of two Sanskrit words, “Ashta” and “Anga.” “Ashta” refers to the number eight, while “Anga” means limb or body part. Therefore, Ashtanga is the union of the eight limbs of yoga, into one complete, holistic system. These eight-limbs of yoga represent the various branches of the philosophy of the yoga sutras that form the foundation in the Ashtanga Yoga. The Ashtanga philosophy is to integrate all of the eight limbs of yoga, which include: Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-discipline), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (sense withdrawal), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness with the self).

Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between postures, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace.

Ashtanga Yoga originated in Mysore, India, where Justin lived, studied and practiced for two years while getting his TTC (teacher training certificate).

Relapse Prevention

The Gorski model of relapse prevention is a helpful tool when addressing relapse and relapse prevention plans with clients. The Gorski model proposes that people often have many early warning signs that precede a relapse. Many people in addiction are not able to recognize these early warning signs as they are automatic and unconscious. This model allows individuals to identify and address early warning signs of relapse through the following nine steps: stabilization, assessment, relapse education, identifying warning signs, managing warning signs, recovery planning, inventory training, family involvement, and follow up. Each step allows the client to develop more skills and self-awareness during addiction rehab recovery  in order to help prevent relapse from occurring in the future.

Justin Cloud, Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor

Working with Justin has had a huge impact on my life. He has helped me learn to live in the present and to accept the challenges of life, both internal and external, without fighting them. His approach to mindfulness is great- he has helped me understand how to bring mindfulness ideas and practices into my everyday life.

Justin is easy to talk to and to trust. I always have a laugh with Justin- even when I am having a hard time he brings a touch of humour without devaluing the difficult experience. He has helped me to find a new perspective on things, and to grow and learn in so many ways. Most importantly, he is not afraid to challenge me to reflect on my own behaviours. I trust him to give me honest feedback, and to tell me what I need to hear, rather than what I want to hear. After all this time, I still learn something new everytime we speak.

Joel L.

I would highly recommend Celine. She has a warmth of spirit that makes you feel safe and supported by exploring the inner terrain. She helps you to see possibilities when stuck and expand into new ways of showing up in the world. With her powerful listening, you find the way forward regardless of where you are going. It has been a profound experience working with her.

“Flow goes over and beyond to further educate to those of us who want to get deep into recovery and explore life after putting it all down. It has inspired me to change my outlook on work and to really live life well. The performance psychology course has been life changing, the individual therapy and life coaching I received at Flow was second to none. I feel great comfort to still be in touch with the team at Flow to support my journey back to the UK and to help me implement and integrate what I learnt. The relapse prevention course really helped me understand myself more and has given a very valuable tool. The location is fantastic, there is loads to do in the area and the sober community locally are welcoming and fun. I highly recommend picking up the phone and speaking to Matt if you are reading this, it is a unique and fantastic place.

”5 stars all the way and I don’t give that lightly.

“Beyond all expectations the accommodation (great sunrise also), councillors with programmes of the highest calibre in a lovely peaceful environment. Rather than boot camp I have surfed, paraglided, wakeboarded, swam and relaxed and walked along beautiful beaches nearby.I have fed elephants bananas, watched sunsets, had massages at Flow and in town, eaten healthily from the delivery menu and also at wonderful restaurants nearby.

This area of Phuket is nothing like the touristy (some rather unsavoury parts!) of the island it is know for, rather a more ex-pat International small groovy town feel to it the property is close by to.

I understand from my new golfing buddies that it is excellent around here, there is trekking and culture to be seen and done that I cant say I have done myself but is available.

Would recommend anyone feeling between rehab and a return to the real world as a perfect middle step, not just to solidify all learnt at Hope, my primary rehab in Thailand but to continue to gain helpful tools and insights into oneself for the future whether in recovery or not!

I have walked away with the most positive attitude, ready for what the world wants to throw at me with self-confidence, self-esteem,further additions to my box of recovery tools to go to in times of need, vastly improved yoga skills and a routine to practice myself, a great tan and most importantly knowing what is is like to feel at ease and content with myself again.”
